Ah yes, the classic: “Why did you make it cotton and then sneak in something that sounds suspiciously like plastic?”
Fair question. Slightly accusatory, but fair.
The outer layer is 100% cotton — soft, breathable, and lovely against your face, as it should be. The inner layer is a lightweight polypropylene lining, and its job is far less glamorous but extremely useful.
Polypropylene is moisture-resistant, helps prevent damp from settling into your pillow, and adds a little durability behind the scenes. It also resists mildew and odours — which, when we’re talking about something your face spends 6–8 hours on, is not a bad trait to have.
Most importantly, this is not a crunchy, sweaty plastic cover. It’s a soft, non-woven layer that doesn’t shout about itself or turn your pillow into a crisp packet.
